Risson is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt under Robert Lagasca. He began his jiu-jitsu journey at Gracie Barra Kissimmee, Florida, where he earned his blue belt under Igor Andrade. After relocating to Las Vegas, Risson joined Team Octopus, continuing his development and earning both his purple and brown belts under Robert Lagasca.
Jiu-jitsu has been a lifelong passion for Risson, serving as both a competitive outlet and a foundation for a healthy, active lifestyle. A devoted husband and father of three, he proudly shares the mats with his family—his wife and children are all involved in jiu-jitsu as well.
Outside the academy, Risson is a professional chef, a career that sharpened his leadership, discipline, and mentoring skills. He brings those same qualities to his instruction, focusing on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and personal growth in every student.
